just some other pictures i took outside by the lakehouse.

In autumn when the trees are brown, the little leaves come tumbling down

its getting so cold out already :(

at least the leaves look pretty and now i can start wearing my fall/winter wardrobe...i went outside to take some pictures by the lake house.

inspiration.

i decided to post a couple photos from my inspiration board. there are a few photos of some quotes from the teen vogue handbook, and the last is just a clipping from an urban outfitters catalogue with several outfits i enjoyed.

DIY night

so i've been working on this one dress for a while, and just took a couple pictures of it to post. its a white t-shirt dress from american apparel, and i cut the collar off and embellished the right side of it by sewing jewels and sequins and buttons and studs. i also just picked up some gold washers and fabric blue at a hardware store today and began gluing them to my white pocket t-shirt. i got the idea from this month's issue of teen vogue. ill post more when its done.

treasure hunt

so today i purchased a silk floral skirt at urban outfitters on sale for $19.99, and have begun studding it already. i also bought lace tights that im in love with and another pair of black opaque tights to add to my collection of about 20 that keep disappearing. on my way home, i came across a plastic heart chanel pin on the ground. although im not exactly sure whether or not it's real, it does have a silver chanel label on the back. it's on my bulletin board for now...

first, lets look at our lovely Gwyneth Paltrow in a sheer dress, showing off the trend in a sultry and sophisticated way. next, we'll have a look at Dajana from leflassh.com rocking a lace top in a way that's trendy and chic.
now we turn to (surprisingly) THE Gossip Girls themselves. Taylor Momsen and Leighton Meester seem to be unknowingly killing the sheer trend with their disasters of outfits.

i hope we've learned a lesson today, boys and girls.
